    It looks like if you had a good hook and pic set and patience one might be able to get the belt free with only the top cover removed. This would be someone like maybe a mechanic that performs work like this daily. Again, great video

    Awesome video. Really appreciate the walk through. I gotta ask though, I was confused about this mod. I thought the hearse would come off and bearings added. I never realized it was something this simple as modding the belt rollers

    Please pin this. Yes it is possible to do this by only removing the top cover. However, it is probably the most difficult way to do it. A lot of fine motor skills are needed. If you work with electronics, you can do it. The tensioner screw needs to be completely removed in order to do it with only the top cover removed.

    Hi, thank you very much for the guide. I also felt that throttle pedal spring is too soft so i did a swap according to your guide and it is a big difference. I also checked the brake pedal since i had an issue with squeaking and rubbing noises, it turned out that brake pedal spring was off set and also full of dog fur. I cleaned everything but i didn't had the original grease so i just used bike chain grease i hope it is fine. Thanks again.

    It is now Feb 2024. Well I also a HP Reverb G2 V2 and I agree with you on what you say about the optics. The only thing I don't like about it is the sweet spot is too narrow for me and is distracting when doing SIM Racing. I find my Oculus Rift S is much better far as the sweet spot, although the Resolution is less. So I find it better for doing SIM Racing for any length of time. Both are good VR headsets far as other features. Take care.

    Does anyone else feel like the brake pedal just doesn't travel far enough with the load cell? Getting 10-50% braking input still requires a load of pressure which doesn't seem right.

    I just replaced the bearing. The outer diameter of the 3x8x4 bearing was small, so it was not possible to properly tighten the ribbed belt. Therefore, I used 2+2 pieces of 3x9x5 mm (603 ZZ) bearings. 3 screws left during assembly. :( I had to watch the video again to find where it was left off! :) Thank you for the video!

    The only current sensors I can find in my country (30A ACS712 Current Sensor Module) have the +- inputs but not a 5v and Ground on the load cell side. Could they just be wired to the output side of the board?

  • @Erowens98
    @Erowens98 7 місяців тому

    According to one study, that average driver can sustain a brake input for of 260N repeatedly indefinitely. Thats around 26 kg of force. So if you can find one, a 30Kg loadcell may be more representative. Of course, in real world racing braking forces go uo even higher than that.

    Thanks for the video! I finally got around to putting a loadcell in my t3pa, it definitely helped getting all the necessary parts together. Didnt really bother with the thread adapter tho and just used a bolt with a washer from the back bolting into the loadcell, lot easier to get it tight. For the rubber stops i just tie-wrapped a thick silicone strip to it. 20kg is definitely the minimum but still feels too light to me. I guess i could try to fit in two 20kg cells and connect them in parallel to get 40kg.

It's Far Better then the Quest 2 & better then the HP Reverb G2 somehow, probably the amazing AmOLED Display & Better Sweet Spot & bigger FOV even though the resolution is lower it manages to look better I'm genuinely Blown Away. It also tracks better then the Hp Reverb G2 Does with the controllers of the HP Reverb G2 that I don't understand but am grateful for on that Headset the right controller would loose tracking every few movements.

    Just did this mod, and I HIGHLY recommend disassembling as outlined in the video. I was able to get the tensioner released and the top white nylon roller removed without full disassembly, BUT I could not get the lower roller off. I pried on the front plastic cover to make room and was able to get it off. I got 3 bearings on each without any issues BUT AGAIN, I and had a crazy difficult time getting the clip securely on the lower shaft. I'm stubborn and tried for over an hour to get it on. Visibility is an issue with the lower shaft, so I finally finished disassembly as shown in the video and it was super easy to get the clip securely on there. Would have saved me an hour if I just followed the clear instructions in the video. Save yourself time & frustration - follow the video. Great Video & thank you for clear instructions.

    Hey need some help. Just spent the entire day trying to do this and its really noisy. Tried reorganizing everything around the bearings in every way possible and nothing seemed to fix it. Have the 3 bearings in now tried two with the washers and same thing. Any ideas? I might try gluing some togetger Edit: The bearings were cheap and crunchy. Had to clean and apply new grease. Went back to using two with washers. There is some faint noise from the washers spinning with the bearings from time to time but they eventually stop. They're loose on the pegs, will try sanding or glueing them or something if it gets worse. I'm a bit sensitive to noise.

    6:44 you flip the cables around so what is red is black, black is yellow and yellow is black This results in what was labelled 5V going to ground and what was ground going to 5V. I've seen other guides doing this but they claim various different reasons for it, one is saying that it's from using the usb adaptor but then another does the same cable flip and they're plugged into the wheelbase. How are your pedals attached to the pc?

    • @FalconsTech
      @FalconsTech Рік тому

      PC The color of the wires don't matter. As long as the correct pins are connected you're fine. The female to female wire set is keyed, as is the main board. So it can only go in one way to the pedal's board. I simply matched those wires to the appropriate connection on the other board.

    • @smeghead666
      @smeghead666 Рік тому

      Sorry to get you going in two threads dude lol I hear you that the colours don't matter but when you swap the connection over the black ground wire on the left is now a red cable and you put that now red cable into the 5v pin on the amp Several other guides say this is required to make them work and that thrustmasters wired then backwards but it's just going against all instinct and I do not wanna burn out this amp

    • @FalconsTech
      @FalconsTech Рік тому

      Just wiggle it back and forth like you would with any other wiring harness. Never pull on the wires. I don't remember if there's a tab on the underside, so check for that too.

    • @BluFrost8888
      @BluFrost8888 Рік тому

      @SirFalconer Yup that worked! Thanks for the advice and this video especially! I was paranoid of bending the pins to get it out (so I kept pulling straight on it and pressing every side of the tab) but the wheel still works fine after I plugged it back in. It is tricky to get the front cover off too to access the gearshaft since I got a very unfortunate screw from the belt tensioner plate stuck in there. I was able to do the metal rollers just fine, though, but I was still tricky as well to put on if I didn't take off the cover. I also haven't worked on much electronics and DIY until I got a second-hand T150 and T-LCMs (no warranty anyways, and I have a pre-built PC), so I'm learning as I go. Hopefully one day I can afford a T300 servo base + Wheel to mod like this without damaging it.

    Rly nice vid! But i got a question... Is it in theory possible to accomplish this at the T3PM as well which comes with the T248? Since in the end it would be rly neat if i could save that extra money since the T3PM already has hall sensors inside like on the T-LCM as well as the brake already has a rly nice spring with different hardens... guess in regular it should be doable since it kinda is like the T-LCM just that it is missing the load cell in the end... but not 100% sure about it ^^'
